Janine Turner’s hair is usually cut short, but not like a boy’s — like a former model’s. Her look is augmented by a face with features so perfectly symmetrical, pretty, and bold that one look is enough to prove she has graced the covers of dozens of magazines. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and raised in Forth Worth, Texas, Janine left the Lone Star State when she was just 15 to pursue a modeling career with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in New York City. Later, she made it to Hollywood, where she slinked onto the daytime airwaves. Janine started her acting career as a sultry tormentress on the soaps General Hospital (1982) and Another World (1986). Her peak of popularity came as another slinky siren on the freaky CBS drama Northern Exposure (1990).
